Did I mention that Robert Wisdom (Bunny Colvin) is in Prison Break? He's great - menacing, big, a regretful sadist. I only watched it because my 3rd favorite actor in the entire world is in it - Laurence Mason. (Parallel Sons, baby, watchu lookin' at?)

The two lead actors are contrived in their acting and personages, but a lot of the secondary characters are very good, especially Knepper. He's got a touch of that MKW sideways and upside down charisma.

Did y'all know that MKW is in Gone, Baby, Gone, which has all kinds of Wire connections?

Here is a link to Gone, Baby, Gone review in NYT. Nice nod to MKW's appearance. Does that mean it's not a blink and miss him role?

Mild spoiler: MKW plays a "friendly cop".

Here's a bit about Amy Ryan's performance in G,B,G. Looks like she's getting early Oscar buzz:

She's also excited for the return of HBO's "The Wire," in which she plays a Baltimore patrol officer. The acclaimed crime drama begins its fifth and final season in January. "We're going out on a high note. It's rare in this business you can say something like that and really mean it."

Ironically, that program and "Gone Baby Gone" both feature Ryan and actor Michael K. Williams, although the two have never shared any screen time. "It's weird, and it's sort of frustrating, because he's so talented.

"To be completely honest, I didn't even know he was in the film until I finally saw the completed version. But he's been so supportive. I hope this gets him noticed, as well."

I'm sitting here surfing and typing with my grandson directing me. So, I have to type in a bunch of emoticons because he wants to "see mad".

Here is a rather good review of Gone Baby Gone, with a very detailed description of Amy Ryan's character, Helene.

If you're not marching tomorrow in a Peace parade, take time to say a prayer to bring the soldiers home, stop the killing of innocent children (including those of the unborn kind, I'm sure bombs don't discriminate against pregnant Iraqi women) and the lining of the pockets of paid mercenaries on contract, making more money than the soldiers will ever see. And you know where that money came from? Is that not enough to make you want to strip this administration down to its skeleton?

Going toe-2-toe with The Hulk. Lord, please let him be a scientist and not a same-o same-o.

A new MKW post? Yes indeed.

I love Viggo Mortensen. I once sat through a LOTR triple feature. Does that make me a bad person? I heavily identified with Smeagel. Boy was I disappointed when he didn't get that ring in the end.

Anyway, MKW is a horror movie buff, and he's co-starring in The Road (Cormac McCarthy novel) and Tell Tale, a Poe adaptation.

Yeah, I said co-star. Fuck you haters!

Another project - a short film showing at the Black Film Festival/LA in early June. It's called a "Hustlaz Story", so, you know. But maybe it's about how a young kid from the sticks fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a world-champion pool player, and there's a climactic battle with close-ups where the kid takes down the current champ played by MKW. Or maybe not...

Maybe there's a remake out there with Michael's name on it.

BAD NEWS - if the review I read is true - MKW's role in The Hulk is a don't blink or you miss it passing fancy. Stupid motherfuckers. If true, I'm not sure I'll go see it because it will be such a distracting disappointment.

Clip from Spike Lee's "Miracle of St. Anna" with a brief glimpse of MKW as a WWII soldier. Looks interesting - I'm going to get the book it's based on and get a head start. The film is due out in Fall. It stars Derek Luke, a really wonderful actor.

Read about Clint Eastwood telling Spike Lee to shut up, because he had the audacity to suggest that Eastwood consistently overlooks the fact that there were BLACK SOLDIERS in WWII?
