Join us at The Wire soundstage on June 9, 2007 for an event to support the Ella Thompson Fund of the Parks & People Foundation!

Tour the sets and stage and meet the talented actors, directors, artists and crew members who make the magic happen. They will all be there to guide and explain every aspect of production of this award-winning television series.

A silent auction and cocktail party will be followed by a spirited live auction…one that will include offerings from HBO’s many great shows, including The Wire.

Tickets are on sale now! As a thank you to those who supported the Ella Fund in the past, a special introductory ticket price of $125 (same as last year) will be available until April 13th.

I saw posted on the yahooHBOWire site that this is nearly sold out. I'm so conflicted - my trip to Hawaii on June 9 has been canceled, so I can go. And I want to go. And I don't.

What's happening to me!!!!! Do I need a blood transfusion? Did the Lord, who gaveth to me so generously, taketh it all backeth?

there are some pretty detailed reports on NATW at the yahooHBO-The wire group. Pictures, too. Also, on the HBO site, someone has posted pictures. Apparently MKW showed up quite late and was instantly mobbed (WELL DUH! WHO WOULDN'T? WHO'S YOUR DADDY? etc...), and some folks posted that he wasn't there. I feel sorrrry for them. Almost as sorry for myself for not going, but truthfully, I need to be much wiser with how I spend my fun money, or there won't be any more fun money.
